Basic Life Support Training

Most of the times, cardiac diseases does not produce uncomfortable symptoms and are hence neglected by many of us. The first 3 hours after the onset of heart attack is called the ‘golden hour’. Appropriate action within first 60 minutes of a heart attack can reverse its effects. When it’s a matter of life and death, every second matters. But it is the time in hand that helps a person to decide what needs to be done next.

To put their mission into action, AHF is providing basic life support which comprises the following elements:

(1) Initial assessment

(2) Airway maintenance

(3) Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

When a casualty is unconscious we need to establish if they are breathing normally or not breathing. This is achieved by opening and maintaining the airway. We train persons belonging to different categories to

Recognize the symptoms

Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) using mannequins

To use AED (Automated External Defibrillator) facility and

Call for the ambulance
